The Fordham Prep Mothers' Club can trace its roots back to 1966 when Margaret McDermott saw the need to organize mothers to:
"Help Fordham Prep to promote and advance the best interests of Fordham Prep in its religious, educational and charitable functions, to promote friendship, sociability and good will among its members and to foster better understanding and mutual cooperation among teachers, students and parents."
tuition raffle
Once again the Mothers' Club is sponsoring a tuition raffle. One lucky winner will receive $12,000 towards 2010-'11 tuition to Fordham Prep (remainder paid by parents or guardian) or $12,000 Cash! download flier (Word doc)
school-wide raffle
Each year three lucky names are drawn for cash prizes of $1,000, $700, and $300 at the Annual Dinner/Fashion Show in the spring. Every contributing family is entered into the drawing through a $25 charge that is included in the student general fee collected in September. The benefit to the school is over $20,000.
FPMC honoraria
One student in each class is awarded an honorarium of $500 at the Annual Dinner/Fashion Show. These students, selected by the Principal, are outstanding members of the Prep; they balance academics along with social and religious life. They are a very special credit to the school and the Mothers' Club.
During the year, Fordham Prep Mothers' Club makes donations to the Prep. During the 2008/2009 school year the Mothers’ Club was able to donate more than $70,000 to the school. We were able to do this because of your help!
